I always think of the hard work of the suffragists on voting day. My vote is their vote. It's hard to imagine that women were ever denied the vote. But not surprising, given the continued attacks on women's equality and human rights.
Today, I also got to vote for my friend, Tracy Hall. She's running for City Commissioner, an important first step in her political career. She sets a wonderful example for women - that following a dream is courageous and do-able. Go, Tracy, go! You'll be a wonderful voice for the people. (You already are, for your students.)
